# Use chat and sessions

> Send requests to AI, resume conversations, and inspect saved results.

## Overview

Use `chat` to request work from the NoimosAI agent and `session` to inspect saved conversations and results. Start new requests in new sessions; reuse a session only to revise the same deliverable or answer pending questions.

## Start a new request

Start interactive chat to work conversationally.

```bash theme={null}
noimosai chat
```

Use `--prompt` to send one non-interactive request.

```bash theme={null}
noimosai chat \
  --prompt "Create three LinkedIn launch post drafts in Japanese" \
  --output json
```

Specify deliverables and quantities, target platforms and accounts, audience, brand or product background, tone, output language, and character limits. Add `--workspace <workspace-id>` to temporarily use another workspace.

## Inspect saved sessions

`session` reads saved conversations, replies, canvases, media, and pending questions. Reading alone does not resume the agent or consume NoimosAI credits.

```bash theme={null}
noimosai session list --output json
noimosai session messages <session-id> --output json
```

## Resume work on the same deliverable

Use `chat --resume` to send further instructions to an existing session.

```bash theme={null}
noimosai chat \
  --resume <session-id> \
  --prompt "Shorten the second draft to 100 characters or fewer"
```

If the agent pauses with a question, read it with `session messages` and answer using the same session ID. Start a new session without `--resume` when changing the topic or deliverable.
